Grok Connects to Your Inbox. Not to Your Audience.

Grok's built-in connectors are a real productivity shelf: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, OneDrive, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Salesforce, and the catalog keeps growing from there, Notion, GitHub, Canva, Box, Linear, Gamma, Meltwater, Vercel, S&P Global, more added regularly since Connectors launched in May 2026. Grok also has a separate terminal coding agent, Grok Build, for developers, worth a mention but not what this page is about.

The one social entry on that list is X Ads, and it manages ad campaigns, not organic posts. There's no connector for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest or Bluesky.

That produces a genuinely odd shape to the workflow. Grok can draft a LinkedIn post, write a TikTok script and generate that video with Grok Imagine, and then it hands you a finished file to upload yourself.

Worth being fair about the timeline here: Connectors are less than five months old at time of writing, from SpaceXAI (they launched in May 2026) - and the catalog is growing. This is a snapshot, not a permanent verdict, but it's the accurate one today.

Grok Supports Custom Connectors. That's the Way In.

Grok lets you bring your own MCP server. MCP, Model Context Protocol, is the open standard AI assistants use to call outside tools, and once you add a server, Grok can use its tools in any conversation, not just a one-off request.

You add one from grok.com/connectors, New Connector, then Custom, on web, iOS and Android alike. On Grok Business and Enterprise plans, an admin provisions the connector first. Only remote, publicly reachable MCP servers work, local servers on your own machine don't connect, which is fine here since WoopSocial's MCP is already hosted.

One connector gives Grok Facebook Pages, Instagram, posts, Reels and Stories, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, both personal profiles and company Pages, YouTube, Pinterest and Bluesky.

Approvals are the biggest value driver here. Several of these platforms gate publishing behind review before an API can post for real, Meta's own App Review for Facebook and Instagram, TikTok's Direct Post audit, LinkedIn's Community Management approval, Google's OAuth verification for YouTube. Step 1: Get your WoopSocial API key

Step 2: Add WoopSocial in Grok

Go to grok.com/connectors, New Connector, then Custom. Name it WoopSocial, enter the server URL https://api.woopsocial.com/mcp, and complete the authorization prompt Grok shows you.

Step 3: Ask Grok to post

"Post this to LinkedIn and Threads now, and schedule the TikTok version for 6pm."

This path is slightly different if you're using Grok Bot and not the web assistant: Settings, Plugins, add a custom connector, with the server url and, where Grok Bot asks for it, an authorization header with your Woop Social API key, not the OAuth flow web uses.

• TikTok — skip the Direct Post audit entirely, and AI-content disclosure is handled automatically, which matters specifically when Grok Imagine made the clip.
• Instagram — Business or Creator accounts, container-based publishing, Meta App Review, all handled. WoopSocial adds Reels, Stories and Trial Reels on top.
