Grok writes the update. It can't post it. WoopSocial's connector lets Grok publish and schedule Facebook Page posts, links, Reels and Stories in plain language, with no Meta App Review.

Grok Doesn't Connect to Facebook
Grok's connector shelf does not include a single Meta platform. The only social connector anywhere on it is X Ads, which you use for your ad campaigns and not for organic posting. Facebook, Instagram, and Threads are equally missing.
Adding Facebook yourself is a difficult project. The Graph API can only publish to Pages, personal-profile posting was deprecated in 2018 and you can't publish to a personal profile through any API anymore. Advanced Access, the level you need to be able to post to a real Page, not a handful of test users, sits behind Meta App Review, and reviews have reportedly run around 20 days per cycle in 2026, with a rejection sending you back to the start of that clock.
You have to manage a chain of tokens just to get to the posting endpoint; a short-lived token exchanges for a long-lived token, which then exchanges again for a Page-specific token, each step its own opportunity to get something wrong, and video uploads run through a separate resumable protocol entirely. Meta also rolls out a new API version every two years with support for the old versions ending at some point. So, whatever you build isn't a one-off project - it involves maintenance. Our Facebook API Alternative guide and Meta App Review Rejected guide cover the full picture.
Worth being upfront about one thing WoopSocial and every other tool can't do - Facebook Groups. Meta deprecated the Groups API in April 2024 and now no third-party tool, WoopSocial or otherwise, can publish to a Group - that door is closed whether you have that service in front of it or not. Pages, sure, but not Groups and not a limitation of this connector specifically, it's simply not possible for anyone, so it's worth knowing upfront rather than discovering it after setting everything up.
WoopSocial Is Grok's Facebook Connector
WoopSocial has passed Meta App Review already, you avoid the entire Meta app review queue altogether. No ~20 day cycles, no fear of rejection throwing you back to the start, and no submissions checklist to obsess over.
One connection covers Page posts in five formats - plain text, image, video, Reel and Story, along with link posts with an appropriate preview card and the ability to tag a particular location on a post. All of it via the same conversation, no separate setup for each format, no separate credential to juggle for video versus a plain text update.
Your Grok agent never holds your Facebook login. It only ever holds your WoopSocial API key. WoopSocial handles the token chain, the resumable video upload, and the version churn behind the scenes. The truth is none of that becomes your problem, connect it once and it stays current as Meta's requirements shift underneath.
Connect Grok to Facebook in 3 Steps
Step 1: Get your WoopSocial API key
Free, about 70 seconds. Connect your Facebook Page inside the WoopSocial dashboard while you're there.
Step 2: Add WoopSocial in Grok
Go to grok.com/connectors, New Connector, then Custom. Name it WoopSocial, enter the server URL https://api.woopsocial.com/mcp, and complete the authorization prompt Grok shows you.
Step 3: Tell Grok to post
"Write a short update about this week's offer and post it to my Facebook Page with the link, then schedule a Reel version for Friday."
You don't need a developer app for the registration process, no App Review queue to wait on, no chain of tokens to manage manually, no code. If you're using Grok Bot instead, it's a little bit totally different: Settings, Plugins, add a custom connector, with the server URL and an authorization header carrying your WoopSocial API key rather than the OAuth flow web uses, reaching the same connection either way.
Facebook, in Plain Language
Once it's connected, this is genuinely how you'll talk to it:
- "Post this link to my Page with a short intro"
- "Post this video as a Reel"
- "Tag the post at our shop location"
- "Put this on our Page Story"
- "Schedule this for tomorrow at 9am"
Each of those maps to a real field the connector sends, link for the preview card, postType: REEL, locationId for the tagged shop, postType: STORY.
Why WoopSocial
The same connector also covers Instagram and Threads, so one Grok prompt reaches all three Meta platforms at once, plus TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest.
Pricing is flat and predictable - free to start, $19/month for Pro, scaling to $49 for Business and $799 for Max, with API and MCP access included on every tier, free included. WoopSocial maintains the Graph API integration and keeps its App Review status current, so version and policy changes are its problem to track, and not yours.
Grok Already Writes the Update. Now It Can Publish It.

FAQ
Can Grok post to Facebook?
Not directly. Grok itself has no connector for any of Meta's platforms, the sole social connector is X Ads, adding Woop Social as a custom connector is what closes the gap.
Can Grok post to Facebook Groups?
No, and this is not something unique to Grok/WoopSocial. In April 2024, Meta deprecated the Groups API, and it is no longer possible for any third-party tool to make posts to a Group. Pages are supported, but Groups are not for anyone.
Can Grok schedule Facebook posts?
Yes. Simply specify the time for WoopSocial to publish on your behalf, or save as draft for later and Grok will queue up Page content at your specified time.
Does Grok need my Facebook password?
No. Grok only has a direct connection to your WoopSocial API key. WoopSocial manages your Facebook Page access, including the token chain, on its own end.
