What is a Claude connector?
A Claude connector is an integration that lets Claude use an outside app during a chat. Connectors are built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Claude can find and install them from its Connectors Directory, or add them by URL as custom connectors.
WoopSocial is a social posting connector listed in the directory as a Community connector (as of October 2026). Community means it is listed for anyone to find and Claude shows a short notice before you connect, and Anthropic explains the tiers in its connector verification guide. What Claude can do once WoopSocial is connected
Once WoopSocial is connected, Claude can do six things in a chat.
Different copy per platform
Write one post, and have Claude tweak it for different platforms. For example: “Post this to LinkedIn and X, but the X version should be under 280 characters.”
Check before posting
Claude validates a post against each platform’s rules before anything is created. Try: “Validate this for Instagram and TikTok first.”
Connect accounts from the chat
When you need another account, Claude returns a sign-in link. Try: “Connect my Pinterest account.”
Check whether posts went out
Claude shows the delivery status of each post, so you can see what was published, what’s failed and what is queued. Try: “Did anything fail this week?”
See how posts performed
Claude pulls the latest performance metrics for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn Pages. For example: “How did last week’s Instagram posts do?”

How to connect Claude to your social accounts (3 steps)
Setup takes three steps and works on every Claude plan, including Free (as of October 2026).
1. Add WoopSocial from the Connectors Directory.
In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Customize → Connectors → Browse, or click “+” in a chat and choose Connectors. Search “WoopSocial” and click Connect. Because WoopSocial is a Community connector, Claude shows a short notice first. Read it, then continue. The notice appears for Community connectors in general, not only WoopSocial. 2. Sign in to WoopSocial and connect your accounts.
Authorize WoopSocial, then connect the networks you want. If you’ve not signed up yet, you can create a free WoopSocial account here. Each platform has one requirement:
- Instagram: a Business or Creator account, connected through Facebook Login.
- Facebook: Pages only, because Meta’s API doesn’t allow posting to personal profiles or Groups.
- LinkedIn: your personal profile, or a company Page admin.
3. Test it.
Open the “+” menu in a chat, go to Connectors and toggle WoopSocial on, then ask: “List my social accounts in WoopSocial.” Claude will return the accounts connected and the platform for each.
Team and Enterprise workspaces
On Team and Enterprise plans (as of October 2026), an Owner enables the connector first. Then each member signs in, and any members without permission see a Request button. Where it works: claude.ai, Desktop, mobile, Claude Code and Cowork
The WoopSocial connector follows your Claude account across surfaces, with a few differences in how you set it up. The table shows each one.

Cross-post to LinkedIn and X with different copy
Claude lists the connected accounts, validates the post, creates it with separate copy for LinkedIn and X, and confirms the time with the UTC conversion visible. The tool chain: social_accounts_list → posts_validate → posts_create → confirmation.
Schedule an Instagram Reel with a video
Claude uploads the video in broken parts, finishes the upload then approves and schedules the Reel with postType: REEL. Showing where in the session the code-execution and allowlist step that the upload requires. The tool chain: media_uploads_create_session → upload parts → media_uploads_complete_session → posts_validate → posts_create.
Ask how last week’s posts performed
Claude calls social_account_posts_list and brings back a table of views, likes and comments for last week’s posts. It answers “what worked?” without having to switch to a dedicated analytics tab per platform.
Posting images and video from a chat
Text posts work in any Claude chat. Any image/video you upload from a chat work ONLY when its code execution is turned on and when Claude has access to *.r2.cloudflarestorage.com (as of October 2026). On claude.ai and Desktop, set this under Settings → Capabilities, in the code-execution network settings. In Claude Code, add the domain to the sandbox's list of allowed domains in settings.json. If you prefer not to do that, you can upload the media in the WoopSocial dashboard first, then tell Claude to use it from the media library. The WoopSocial MCP docs explain all options.

Cowork scheduled tasks
Cowork scheduled tasks run on paid plans - hourly, daily, weekly, on weekdays or manually, and they use your connectors. They run remotely, even when your computer is asleep (as of October 2026, per Anthropic’s scheduled tasks guide). Copy this task to start:
Every weekday at 8:00, take the newest post from our blog RSS, write a LinkedIn and an X version, and schedule them for 10:00 as drafts in WoopSocial.
Use drafts for unattended runs. A draft sits in your WoopSocial calendar until you approve it, so a bad run costs you a rejected draft and not a public post.
Claude Code routines
Claude Code routines have been in research preview since April 14, 2026, on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. A schedule, the API or GitHub can trigger them, and daily caps apply: 5, 15 or 25 runs (as of October 2026, per Anthropic’s routines announcement). Safe by default, honest about limits
Here’s what it can and can’t do:
Safety
- Claude asks before each action, so nothing is published without your approval.
- Draft mode lets you review a post in WoopSocial before it goes live.
- Validation checks each post first, and one bad error stops the whole post.
- Claude never sees your passwords, because WoopSocial holds the platform tokens.
- You can disconnect WoopSocial in Claude, or disconnect any social account in WoopSocial, at any time.
What it doesn’t do
- Comments, DMs and ads.
- Threads and polls.
- Analytics outside TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn Pages.
- Images and video need code execution, or the WoopSocial dashboard.

Can Claude post to social media?
Yes, with a connector. Claude has no built-in posting, so it needs one to publish. Add WoopSocial from Claude's Connectors Directory, sign in, and Claude can publish and schedule posts on 9 platforms.
Is WoopSocial in Claude's Connectors Directory?
Yes, as a Community connector. Community means it is listed in the directory for anyone to find, and Claude shows a short notice before you connect. View WoopSocial in Claude's Connectors Directory.
Which Claude plans can use the WoopSocial connector?
All of them, including Free (as of October 2026). Directory connectors are available on every plan. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner enables WoopSocial first and each member then signs in.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in to WoopSocial from Claude and authorize it, so there's no key to copy or paste anywhere. API keys are only needed for developers that use REST API directly, for example, from their own app rather than through Claude.
Can Claude schedule social media posts?
Yes. Claude schedules posts with SCHEDULE_FOR_LATER and converts your time to UTC. You can also publish immediately or save a draft instead. Tip - always name your time zone, for example “9:00 London time”.
Can I edit or cancel a post Claude scheduled?
You can cancel it, but there's no direct edit. Claude cancels a scheduled post (posts_delete) as long as publishing hasn't started. There is no edit tool, so to change a post, Claude cancels the old one and creates a new one.
Can Claude upload images and videos?
Yes, with code execution on and *.r2.cloudflarestorage.com allowed in Claude's settings. Otherwise, you can upload the media in the WoopSocial dashboard first and then ask Claude to use it from the media library.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, once it's added on web or desktop (as of October 2026). Connectors set up on web or desktop are available for you on the Claude mobile app, so you can publish to it from your mobile phone. It's not possible to create a connector on a mobile device alone. You'll need to do so on the desktop client first.
Does it work in Claude Code and Cowork?
Yes. In Claude Code, WoopSocial is added with a single terminal command, authentication via /mcp. Cowork shares your account's connectors, so scheduled jobs can also use WoopSocial on paid plans (October 2026). Both are described above.
Can Claude reply to comments or DMs?
No. WoopSocial publishes and schedules posts, and to monitor delivery status and engagement performance. It doesn't process your inboxes, so Claude can't help you write replies, and it doesn't manage ads. Replies are always in the individual platform's inbox.
Can Claude post threads or polls?
No. WoopSocial only supports one post per platform at a time, so multi-post threads and polls can't be created using WoopSocial. Claude can still schedule a number of different posts at different times, but they won't be posted as a thread.
What happens if a social account disconnects?
In case the post does not go through, WoopSocial will report a clear error and send a new sign-in link (oauth_create_authorization) to reconnect the account. Once that is done, simply ask Claude to schedule the post again. You can also reconnect any account from the WoopSocial dashboard.
