HTML
HyperText Markup Language, or HTML, is the basic coding structure used to create and exhibit content on web pages. It is what delineates the layout and format of a webpage and its constituent parts (headings, paragraphs, links, images, and so on). For HTML, as with any other coding language, you have to follow certain rules, which, in this case, involve writing a system of tags enclosed in angle brackets.
Although HTML works in conjunction with other languages like CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript (more on them below), it is the purest form of web coding. On the most fundamental level, you can use (or misuse) HTML to structure not only the content but also the user interface (also known as the front end) of a social media platform.
