Email Campaigns

Social media email campaigns are a sequential series of messages sent to targeted recipients with the intention of creating a relationship and/or getting that person to complete a business objective. The campaign may be in support of a larger social media effort and can serve to cross-promote content in a way that nudges the two channels into a nice synchronization. Social media email campaigns use the same tools that social media works with (or should work with): personality, segmenting, even 'automation' to some degree.

And also like social media, they should have consistency in visuals and branding. Ultimately, though, social media email campaigns are part of the same marketing conversation that email as a channel has been having for some time.
