Competitive Analysis

Analyzing competitors on social media means looking closely at what they're doing and how well it's working. That involves a several-step approach:

1. **Identify your key competitors.**

Before doing any analysis, you first need to determine the brands that you will be monitoring. These are the companies that are competing directly with you in the same industry or niche.

2. **Study their profiles.**

Once you've pinpointed your key competitors, take a good look at their social media profiles. Note the visuals they've chosen to represent their brand. Are their profile and cover photos eye-catching? Do their visuals communicate the right message? And how about the actual content of their posts?

3. **Understand their posting frequency.**

Analyze how often they post. Do they have a consistent posting schedule? How does their posting frequency compare to yours?

4. **Assess engagement levels.**

Look at the number of likes, comments, shares, and retweets their posts get. Or the number of times their content has been seen or interacted with. This is your engagement metric. Uncover some reasons why certain posts performed better than others.

5. **Analyze follower growth.**

So far, you've taken a look at what your competitors are doing and how well they're doing it. But who are they doing it for? Who's in their audience? And how are they growing that audience over time?
