In the context of social media, any image, post, video, caption, story, or other form of multimedia can be perceived as 'genuine' and 'truthful' by an audience if it closely aligns with the original voice and character of the person, brand, or organization sharing it. And when it comes to authentic social media content, the key ingredients are transparency, honesty, and the absent pretense that is often present when one is just trying to sell something. Yes, even social media content has its sales funnel!

But who uses it? As far as we can tell, the people and brands using it are forming more real connections with their audiences, because the audiences know what they see and hear is the unvarnished truth. Anyway, there is no chance that I'm writing any fake, phony, or hypocritical posts.
